🚨 Israel requested to see the US-Iran MoU document and was rejected
Israeli media outlet Channel 12 has reported that Israel requested access to review a memorandum of understanding (MoU) being negotiated between the United States and Iran, but was denied.
The draft MoU is intended to serve as the foundation for a potential 60-day ceasefire agreement. Key elements include ending hostilities, ensuring open access to the Strait of Hormuz, providing sanctions relief, and setting the stage for subsequent nuclear negotiations. A signing ceremony could take place in Switzerland.
Israeli officials have emphasized that the country is not a party to the agreement and will not consider itself bound by any provisions that restrict its military operations in Lebanon or against Iranian-backed proxies. Israel continues to insist that any final deal must include the removal of Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium and strict limits on its missile production capabilities.
