Israeli journalists attacked in Northern Ireland while filming documentary on European antisemitism🤬
A crew from i24NEWS’ Hebrew channel was attacked in Belfast, Northern Ireland, over the weekend while filming a documentary series on rising antisemitism in Europe.
Reporter Yonatan Raveh and cameraman Nadav Abbas were conducting street interviews near a bar complex when a man realized they worked for an Israeli network. He began harassing them, shouting anti-Israel slogans, attempting to seize their camera equipment, and making aggressive gestures.
The journalists tried to withdraw and sought help from nearby security, but the man pursued them. He then threw a large glass beer mug that struck Abbas in the head, causing a cut.
The crew left the area immediately. Abbas cleaned the wound at a nearby establishment and required no further medical treatment. Both journalists later returned safely to Israel. The entire confrontation was recorded on their cameras.
