Netanyahu Campaign Billboard Targets Critics Including New York Mayor

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party has launched a new election billboard advertisement declaring that certain figures want Netanyahu to lose.

The large display shows New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani positioned among other international leaders such as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and senior Iranian officials.

Hebrew text above the portraits states they want Netanyahu to lose while text below urges the public not to let them win. The advertisement forms part of Likud’s effort to frame Netanyahu’s political survival as essential to Israel’s interests.

Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist who took office as mayor in early 2026, has repeatedly criticized Netanyahu’s policies in Gaza and explored legal options related to an international arrest warrant against the Israeli leader.

Netanyahu has responded by portraying Mamdani’s positions as contributing to hostility toward Israel and its supporters. The billboard appears amid ongoing Israeli electoral competition where Netanyahu seeks to rally voters by linking domestic challenges to external critics.
