Ukraine Strikes Back with Mass Drone Barrage, Wreaking Havoc on Russian Infrastructure and Moscow Region
Russia reported shooting down over 800 Ukrainian drones overnight in one of the largest aerial assaults on the country since the war began. The massive operation targeted industrial facilities, energy assets, and logistical networks, leaving at least six people dead across multiple regions.
In the Moscow region alone, authorities claimed nearly 200 drones were intercepted. Despite air defense efforts, a catastrophic fire tore through Wildberries’ massive 250,000-square-meter logistics hub in Podolsk, marking the latest blow to Russia’s largest e-commerce giant.
Out of Wildberries’ 30 major fulfillment centers nationwide, Ukrainian strikes have now completely destroyed 14 and partially damaged three. Kyiv claims the retailer actively handles military supplies and equipment, driving the repeated targeting of its supply hubs.
In southern Russia, drone strikes hit a key defense-industrial plant in the Rostov region that produces solid rocket propellant for the Russian military. The attack left five dead in Rostov, home to a small Jewish kehilla that maintains active communal life, a local school, and an historic shul despite the ongoing conflict.
Another fatality was reported in the Moscow region, bringing the total death toll from the overnight barrage to six.
