Bank Hapoalim Locks Exchange Rate for Summer Vacationers
Bank Hapoalim has launched a special summer initiative allowing customers to lock in the foreign exchange rate for cash withdrawals before traveling abroad.
The service is designed to provide Israeli vacationers with financial certainty amidst recent volatility in the foreign currency market.
Through the bank’s digital channels, customers planning summer trips can freeze the current exchange rate for major currencies, including the US Dollar and the Euro.
The locked rate applies to cash orders made in advance, which can then be collected at the bank’s branches or at Ben Gurion Airport prior to departure.
Financial analysts note that the move aims to shield consumers from sudden fluctuations in the Shekel’s value, which has experienced heightened instability due to ongoing geopolitical developments and shifting macroeconomic conditions in Israel.
