IDF Names Three Soldiers Killed in Southern Lebanon Incident

The IDF has cleared for publication the names of three soldiers whose families have been notified.

Staff Sgt. Yoav Klein, 21, from Herzliya, served as a tank crewman in the 52nd Battalion of the 401st “Iron Tracks” Brigade. He was killed in an incident on Thursday night in southern Lebanon in which four soldiers fell.

Staff Sgt. Liav Kvavia, 20, from Hod HaSharon, also served as a tank crewman in the same battalion and brigade. He was killed in the same Thursday night incident.

The name of a fourth soldier killed in the same incident has not yet been released.

Sgt. First Class (res.) Nir Ben Ari, 21, from Kerem Maharal, served in the Maglan Unit of the Commando Brigade. He fell in battle in southern Lebanon.
