Trump Gives Iran Short Deadline to End Internal Power Struggle

President Donald Trump has reportedly granted Iran a final window of “three to five days” to resolve internal leadership conflicts and present a unified proposal for peace.

According to an Axios report, the decision to extend the current ceasefire is a tactical move to push the Iranian regime toward a coherent negotiating position before the truce expires.

The extension comes amid a visible power struggle within Tehran. Conflict between high-ranking officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and IRGC Commander Major General Ahmad Vahidi, has led to a “fractured” government that failed to confirm its participation in the scheduled second round of peace talks in Islamabad.
